Vallechiara begins its production cycle just at the moment when its water rises to the surface. The drops that slowly trickle from the rocks transform into a small stream or spring, from which the water is immediately collected and sent downstream for bottling. That’s it, nothing else. It may seem simple, but keeping it safe and pure requires passion, dedication and constant checking.
Our facilities is all one with the surrounding nature: this is why we use only materials with low environmental impact for our PET and glass production lines, either recyclable or reusable. The glass bottles are used up to ten times, then melted and reshaped into new bottles, while the PET becomes a primary source of synthetic fibres.
Inspired by the current philosophy of short supply chain, we carefully choose partners who are close to us. The Vetreria Etrusca (Etruscan Glassworks) is one of the most renowned in Altare, less than a kilometre from our facilities, and our supplier of bottles. Thus, transport does not rush all around Italy and pollution from transport is reduced to a minimum, while we continue to proudly support the businesses in our area. |

ADAM, the Associazione Degustatori Acque Minerali (Association of Mineral Water Tasters), created the “charter of mineral waters”, where the results of years of study of matching food and water come together. Low mineral content water is recommended for enhancing the flavour of seafood hors d'oeuvres and desserts, while light, preferably still water is the best choice for bringing out the taste of entrées and main courses.
